  1. Heligoland is the fifth studio album by English electronic music duo Massive Attack, released on 8 February by Virgin Records. Named after a German archipelago, it was their first studio album in seven years, following th Window (). It has been certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry .
  2. Until 's th Window, each Massive Attack album had been a discrete record, stylistically distinct and mostly unconnected to what had gone before it (even if it included the same vocalists). By sounding like an inferior copy of the landmark Mezzanine, th Window broke a string and led to negative reviews. Heligoland marks a return to departures.
  3. Auf Discogs können Sie sich ansehen, wer an Gram Vinyl von Heligoland mitgewirkt hat, Rezensionen und Titellisten lesen und auf dem Marktplatz nach der Veröffentlichung suchen. Label: The Vinyl Factory - VF • Format: 2x, Vinyl LP, Album GramVinyl
  4. Heligoland-- the first non-soundtrack Massive Attack album in seven years and the first with Daddy G back on board in misses that quality. The undercurrent of menace and sadness that defined.
  5. MASSIVE ATTACK - HELIGOLAND (ALBUM) Label: EMI: Entry: (Position 17) Last week in charts: (Position 42) CD Limited Edition Virgin LP Deluxe Triple Gatefold Virgin Überragend Psyche und Paradise Circus, 2,3 Schrottsongs ala Radiohead gibt's auch, ansonsten gewöhnliche Soundspielereien.
  6. Heligoland is their fifth album overall and their first in over seven years. Featuring previous collaborator Horace Andy, and a bevy of vocalists such as Martina Topley-Bird of Tricky fame, Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star and The Warm Inventions, Tunde Adebimpe, and Adrian Utley of Portishead on guitar duties/5().
  7. It's labeled as Trip Hop, but I wouldn't want to pigeonhole it. Massive attack is a one-of-a-kind act and obviously a very experimental effort that sounds like nothing else. It's very pleasant and interesting music! Well, I'm surprised, and it's a pleasant surprise. This music is quite well done. I may look into a couple more Massive Attack albums/5().
  8. Massive Attack feel like a living, breathing vital force once again Despite Daddy G's return to the fold, Massive Attack are still mired in the gloom that surrounded the ‘th Window' album yet seem re-invigorated by a renewed soulfulness and sense of purpose.
